Kimchi

How to make easy (“mak ” in Korean). full recipe: www.maangchi.com It’s made with small pieces of cabbage that are easier to handle and take less time to prepare.

    @moonprincesss It depends on your room temperature and saltiness of your kimchi. You can eat it right after making it.

    I was wondering, is it okay to make the kimchi first and then add the squid in afterwards or do I have to prepare the squid ahead of time and add it into the kimchi as I’m making it? Thanks!

    Making this today for the first time. The cabbage is salting right now and I can’t wait! I’m vegetarian so I subbed soy sauce for the fish sauce. How long should I leave the kimchi at room temperature?

    i tried to make the kimchi sauce
    i used the same ammount as you did i the blender . but when i blended it for 1 minut. i didnt came out like yours. it was more like a soup, not a paste. can you explain why?

    it would have been easier if you wrote like dl,l, instead of cup cause i dont have the same cup as you so i have to use a regular cup.

    My mom loves kimchi, it’s new to us, I didn’t like the store bought one, it smells funny, but Im gonna try to make your virsion soon cause the way you make it looks so good especially when you mix the kimchi paste with the rest vegs uh makes me want it soooo bad.

What would be the adjustments to the recipe that I would have to make, so as not to have too much of the paste or condiments and not enough of the cabbage?

    i put too much pepper flakes in my kimchi now its too spicy, my sister cant really eat spicy foods, darn i’m gonna have to finish it all by myself

    i tried your recipe and it was so delicious. However, I have a little trouble getting the porridge to be as smooth as yours. when i made it, it got very clumpy and i have to mash all the clumps until it’s smooth. Any way you can make the porridge so it doesn’t get clumpy? THanks! Love your recipes! Hwaiting!

    @mdmrag75 no, oyster sauce is not used in kimchi. Just skip them. Your kimchi will still be delicious.
