It would be nice if he gave the amount of ingredients to use. He otherwise does a good job.

@LeftOfToday Huh, I do apologise for my stupid question, thanks for that. I’ll check it out
@Trinfidelity I’m sorry, I know this question’s gonna sound really stupid, but how does buttermilk biscuits taste? And please don’t tell me it tastes like buttermilk because I’ve never seen buttermilk being sold where I live. Do reply! Thank you!

@namasayaDiana
Hard to describe the taste.
They taste like you would not expect.
I really can’t find something similar.
I couldn’t find buttermilk either but I did some research and I found a type of yogurt with similar low fat content, and more acidic. Look at content of buttermilk on wiki. I added a bit of lemon juice like it said in some recipe for substituting buttermilk too.
But anyway.. to answer your question… I can’t. Make ‘em. It takes less than half an hour start to finish.
love

a great way to keep the stuff cool is chill your bowl, rolling pin and if you can your work space. it may sound like ur over doing it but you have to keep it cold or it will deflate
Is the cutting butter technique same as folding in the butter technique (as used for puff pastry and croissant)?
Because that would make my life so much easier.

You can use reg milk but the buttermilk interacts with the baking soda for a better rise and it does lend some taste. You can sour your milk (use at least 2% or whole milk)with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to one cup of milk. You can also substitue the same amount of sour cream for buttermilk and get the tang. I buy dried buttermilk in a can, I am not a fan of the stuff to drink. Happy Baking.
I cheat – I use my food processor.
I made this yesterday and my whole family loved them! We ate them with butter and/or raspberry jam. Very good recipe ♥
