Whippedcream
Putflourandsaltinthebowlofafoodprocessor.Cut
thebutter,andshorteningintotheflour.Processa
fewsecondsuntilthemixtureresemblesacoarse
meal.Dropbydropaddthewater,processingbriefly.
Thewholeprocessshouldtakeabout20to30
seconds.Wrapandchillforanhour.Removefrom
refrigerator,andletstand15minutesbeforerolling.
Youcandoublethisupforatopandbottomcrust.
Filling:
Inamediumsizedsaucepancombinesugar,
cornstarch,and7−UPuntilcreamy.Cookovera
mediumtoamediumhighheatuntilthemixture
becomesthick.Whenthismixturebecomesthick,cool
toroomtemperature,andaddacoupleofdropsofred
foodcoloring.Wash,andcutstrawberriesinto
quarters,orsmallerdependingonhowlargetheyare.
Sprinkleateaspoonortwoofsugaronthe
strawberries,andplacethemintotheshell.Pourthe
cooled7−Upmixtureoverthestrawberries.Allowthis
tosetforafewminutes.ServewithplentyofWhippedCream.
